ABOUT
The FLOR Cuadro Flamenco is Maine’s only professional flamenco ensemble, bringing together dance, guitar, and song in the dynamic, collaborative tradition of the flamenco cuadro. Meaning “group” or “ensemble,” a cuadro brings flamenco artists together in an intimate performance setting where dancers, singers, and musicians respond to and support one another in real time. Rooted in flamenco’s rich cultural and artistic traditions while embracing contemporary expression, FLOR’s Cuadro shares the depth, diversity, and vitality of this evolving art form.
With a focus on connection, expression, and cultural understanding, the mission of FLOR (Flamenco & Its Origins) is to foster artistic, cultural, and community stewardship through the art of flamenco. Through performance, education, and community programs, FLOR creates opportunities to experience flamenco not only as a performing art, but as a powerful form of cultural expression and community connection.
This show will feature Lindsey Bourassa (Dancer), Megan Keogh (Dancer), Behzad Habibzai (Guitarist), Bruno Panunzio (Guitarist), Meghan Pilar Whittier Habibzai (Singer), and Chriss Sutherland (Singer), as well as special guest artists from FLOR’s Advanced program, dancers Nyki Moore and Rennie Cruz.

Invited Guest Artists
Rennie Cruz | Dancer
Rennie Cruz’s lifelong love for movement, performance, and culture began as a toddler on the stage of her parents' movie theater, leading to decades of performance—spanning competitive and entertainment-based figure skating throughout New England with the Brunswick Figure Skating Club, along with an appearance at age 12 in the 1986 Skate America international figure skating event at the Portland Civic Center. Her formal dance training began with the Hartford Ballet company, expanding into tap, jazz, and character dance under Broadway veteran Ron Trell, leading to theater, several seasons of performances with the American Cancer Society’s Crusade Capers benefits, and a 2012 movement segment with Dr. Mehmet Oz on The Dr. Oz Show.
A year abroad in Uruguay deepened her connection to Hispanic culture, and a later trip to the caves of Granada ignited her passion for Flamenco, joining FLOR (formerly Lindsey Bourassa Flamenco) in 2014. Through a decade of ongoing study and performance under Lindsey Bourassa's direction, Rennie has refined her Flamenco foundation, expanding with master workshops and a trip to Seville in 2022 to study with Miguel Vargas at the Centro de Arte y Flamenco de Sevilla. Her featured credits include numerous student showcases, the regional charity benefit Give Spanks for SASSMM, guest appearances in Resurgence Dance Company’s Late Night Tales II, and playing the lead role of Mars—a Flamenco dancer—in the original rock opera One Way Trip to Mars.
Nyki Moore | Dancer
Nyki is a musician and dancer whose practice is deeply rooted in rhythm, musicality, and expressive storytelling. A self-taught rhythm enthusiast since childhood, she later formally studied tap dance before finding her artistic home in flamenco. Over more than a decade of studying and performing under the direction of FLOR, Nyki has been featured in numerous showcases and developed original choreography, including her own Zorongo. When she isn't managing operations for a Fortune 500 company, she channels that same precision and leadership into pushing her artistic craft through the rich, rhythmic dialogue of flamenco.
