A 2-Part Choreography Workshop & Performance Opportunity taught by María Mazorra, assisted by Lindsey Bourassa
In this dynamic 2-part workshop, students will learn and refine a 3-minute choreography that fuses flamenco, castanets, and tutting—blending precision, rhythm, and synchronicity into a mesmerizing performance piece for the FLOR Season Finale Community Showcase.
This 2-part workshop takes place in our Topsham studio (address shared upon registration).
Dates
April 4, 2026 | 10 am - 1 pm (with rest breaks)
April 18th | 10 am - 1 pm (with rest breaks)
Cost
One-time fee of $75 for the full 2-part workshop (includes both April 4 & 18)
Student Commitment
By registering, students commit to:
Attend both workshop sessions
Perform the choreography in the FLOR Season Finale Showcase on May 30, 2026
Wear performance attire: black top and black pants. FLOR can assist in acquiring clothing if needed
Important Info
No flamenco, castanet or tutting experience required
No flamenco shoes required
Castanets are available to borrow upon request
This choreography is a group piece and highlights precision, rhythm, and group synchronicity. Strength in these skills is recommended, as well as the ability to learn at a fast pace.
Minimum 7 students required for the workshop to run
Registration deadline: March 15, 2026
Pay-What-You-Can Policy
No one will be turned away for lack of funds. All classes and events include a pay-what-you-can option. Just reach out at Info@florflamenco.org and we will be happy to accommodate.
Refund & Credit Policy
As a small non-profit, we are unable to offer refunds or credits except in cases of cancellation or oversight on our end, or if an overpayment was made by mistake. We appreciate your understanding that we cannot accommodate changes due to personal circumstances.
However, we recognize that financial hardships can arise. If not receiving a refund or credit would impact your ability to meet basic needs, please reach out to us to discuss potential exceptions.
